Solar Cyclone Tower
The SOLAR CYCLONE TOWER (SCT) is a new paradigm in sustainable electrical and water generation capability. EnviroMissions SCT will produce up to 100m m3 water per year and enough energy, water, fuel and food security to support large remote communities. Telecoms, inhabitation and advanced industrial processing are all contained within an emissions-free unit. SCTs not only avoid emissions of atmospheric CO₂, but actually reduce what is already there in a globally significant and timely way.
The Solar Cyclone Tower comprises a 5km radius greenhouse, with a 1200m tower in the centre.
32 turbines are arrayed around the base. Each is rated at a minimum of 10MW.
The SCT Tower will not only allow heated air to rise but also to extract vast amounts of fresh water.
The updraft itself is expected to exceed 30m/second. The energy in the air over a year exceeds 26 billion MJ, equivalent to 848MW average energy.
The future has arrived. And now, it’s sustainable.
